Kashi Vishwanath Temple, is regarded as one of the ancient and most popular Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located in the heart of Varanasi, it mesmerizes the soul of people. The temple is a core of faith and pride for Hindus.
Aarti time:
Mangala Aarti : 3 AM- 4 AM (Morning)
Bhog Aarti : 11.15 AM to 12.20 PM (Day)
Sandhya Aarti : 7 PM to 8.15 PM (Evening)
Shringar Aarti: 9 PM to 10.15 PM (Night)
Shayan Aarti : 10.30 PM – 11 PM (Night)

Ganga Aarti is an important ritual held on a massive scale every morning and evening on the banks of the holy Ganges, Banaras. The priests perform Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. The entire Ghat gets illuminated and decorated with a divine light that not only can be felt strongly but also enhances the soul. The magnificent ritual involves huge gatherings and chants of the holy mantras and shlokas that reverberate in the entire Kashi.
Aarti time
It Begins at 6.45 in the evening and it lasts about 45 minutes. We insist to reach atleast 30 minutes before aarti due to heavy crowd.

Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir is situated by the River Assi. The temple was established by the famous Hindu preacher and poet-saint Sri. Goswami Tulsidas in the early 16th century. The temple is also known as the Monkey temple because of the presence of a lot of monkeys inside the premises.
The Sankat Mochan Mandir opens at 5:00 am in the morning and closes at 10:00 pm in the night.

Located near Durga Ghat on the bank of the River Ganga, Durga Kund was built in the 18th century.
An attractive pond known as the Durga Kund is located inside the temple which increases the beauty of the temple. The pond has stone stairs and watches pillars at each corner of the pond.
As it is said the statue of Goddess Durga is not human-made but it appeared on its own. Millions of Hindu devotees go to the Durga temple on the Navratri and other occasions and pray to the Goddess Durga.

An archaeological and art museum, Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum is well known for its beautiful collection of artefacts, sculptures, paintings, jewellery, pottery, textiles, etc. ranging between the 1st and the 15th century. The total artefacts on display are over 200,000 including their rare collection of miniature paintings and manuscripts.

New Vishwanath Temple is also known as Birla Temple is located on the BHU campus. It is known as Birla Temple because it is built by the Birla Group of Industries.
The temple was made by the Birla family the king of Birla family was Raja Birla. It was proposed by Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya (the founder of the Banaras Hindu University) as part of the BHU campus.
Birla Temple is made up of marble and its construction was completed in around 1965. The tower of the Birla temple is known as one of the tallest temple towers. It is taller than Qutub Minar, Delhi.

The Assi Ghat is placed at the confluence of the Rivers Assi and Ganga. It is famous for the large Shiva Lingam installed under the peepal tree and has immense religious importance and has been mentioned in the Puranas.

As its name suggests, it is believed that it is the place where Lord Brahma performed the Dasa Ashwamedha sacrifice. This ghat is a religious spot and many rituals are performed here is also one of the famous tourist places in Varanasi.

Tulsi Manas Temple is one of the famous and oldest temples of Varanasi. It is also known as the Tulsi Birla Manas Mandir. It is located near Durgakund (Durga Temple). It is made up of white marble in the year 1964 and constructed by the family of Banaras. It looks much attractive having beautiful gardens. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ram. The temple has beautiful images of the Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman.

Among the temples, Mrityunjay Mahadev Temple is a very famous and glorious temple… This temple is the holy place of worship and belongs to the Lord Mahadev.
It is believed that the Shivling located in this temple keeps all the devotees away from their unnatural death.
Lord Shiva is prayed as by devotees in getting triumph over their unnatural death. People across India come here and perform “Mrityunjay Path” to get rid of their problems.
The temple opens early in the morning at 4.00 am and closed late at night at 12.00 pm.

Kaal Bhairav is one of the most ancient temples of Lord Shiva. This temple has strong with the history and culture of the city. Kaal Bhairav is the fiercest form of Mahadev. The deity is represented as a man wearing garlands made with a human skull. It is believed that the death itself is afraid of this form of Lord Shiva. It is said that Kaal Bhairav decides who has to stay in Varanasi and who could not.

5:00 am to 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm

The statue of Mother India is made up of marble and looks like a model which symbolizes entire India, represents the mountains, plains, and oceans of India. The Bharat Mata temple does not have a traditional statue of Gods or goddesses but has a real map of Mother India.

Batuk Bhairav Temple is famous for being a place of worship for Aghoris and Tantriks.
Batuk Bhairav Mandir is considered to be of immense religious importance and is dedicated to Batuk Bhairav who was an incarnation of Lord Shiva. An interesting feature of this temple is the sacred Akhand Deep which is believed to be burning for ages. It is said that the oil of this lamp has healing powers.
